    2 x FREE FOLDING BIKES

We’ve got a couple of folding bikes going spare.
We’re selling our boat so just emptying everything off it.

They’re FREE but they do need some love and attention - haven’t been used since July 2020. Some rust, flat tyres, bits need a bit of oil.

The boat’s in Ocean Village - if anyone’s interested, let me know.

This seems to have been replaced by a very short unscripted few words on Facebook video from the head office balcony. Ok if you subscribe to Facebook I guess...

Yes, I quite like that format. It is certainly better than the silence from other marina managers and the mostly banal postings from head office spammed across all their Marinas' Facebook pages simultaneously.

The spamming by MDL is getting worse by the week, for me they spam every item twice!
Lord knows what will happen when they get into gear spamming their 4 boat sale events that may get to go ahead this year!

Good to see Ian and Alex out on the Pontoons checking our boats in this wind. Re-fixing fenders and checking lines and covers

Is there any news on who is managing Ocean Village for MDL? There has been ZERO communication since the sad bulletin regarding Andrew's passing. Surely berth holders should be told what is going on. Scott would communicate weekly, now we are lucky to get information twice a year!

              Hiya,

At the present time Paul Atkins has stepped up for a short period of time while we look at options. As you will all beware we communicate on a daily basis regarding things that are happening across the MDL network, either via email, social media or directly on the website and run berth holders forums twice a year.

It is up to the marina managers how they wish to communicate directly with berth holders, Scott liked to complete his email updates, Andrew preferred to upload a video to Facebook and some prefer to meet people face to face or a blended approach using all media types. In relation to the management of Ocean Village there isn’t much to update since Andrew’s sad passing, it is still very recent, as I’m sure you would understand a recruitment process won’t be rushed and once a permanent solution is decided we will communicate to all as we have done previously. In the meantime Paul is doing a great job stepping into the captains chair.

...and of course some (most?) prefer not to bother at all.

I would suggest that is complete nonsense.

You can suggest all that you like but I know it is not. Having spent time in four of your marinas OV under Scott was the only one where we had any communication from the marina manager on more than an annual basis. In fact the one I'm in now (second year of contract) is typical in that I've not had any contact from either the current manager or their predecessor since we moved in (April 2020).

Given your full time day job, that you believe otherwise is actually quite perturbing.

As explained above do similar and use other avenues. The suggestion that there is no contact is incorrect. If customers are Opted into communications and we hold the correct details then communications will be sent via email. If they prefer not to engage that way there are daily updates on social media, news items every few days on the website and of course the phone is always on and the managers in the office ready to speak to people face to face.

There were no managers available when I tried and there was no reply to my email.
Pleased to see on Facebook today that Paul has been confirmed as manager so hopefully things will settle down and communications will resume/start.
                    Working...
